Responsibilities

Perform as a Network Engineer for an enterprise classified network
Design and plan network communications systems
Provide specification and detailed schematics for network architecture
Conduct testing of network design
Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc
Evaluate and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
Respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, support development of corrective action and implement corrective actions
Recommend and implement network enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and oral format

Required

Level 2: Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience OR Master's degree and 0 years of experience; 6 years of total experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree
Level 3: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR Master's degree and 3 years of experience; 9 years of total experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree
Active DoD Secret clearance at the time of application
Familiar with the configuration of CISCO network communication products
Ability to create and maintain IP management plans
Proven ability to trouble shoot network communication problems, recommend corrective actions and implement corrective actions
Experience deploying network solutions within a RedHat Enterprise Linux environment
Ability to travel 25% (CONUS or OCONUS)

Preferred

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with ability to gain SCI
Certified Cisco Network Professional
CompTIA Security + Certification
CompTIA Network + Certification
Experience with InfiniBand networks and the InfiniBand protocol
Experience with Data Diode/CDS security solutions
Experience with Agile Methodologies and use of Atlassian tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence)
Experience with Cameo or similar MBSE tools
