Director, Global Commercial Capabilities
Illumina is expanding access to genomic technology to realize health equity for billions of people around the world. The Director, Global Commercial Capabilities is responsible for leading a global team to optimize commercial processes and systems, drive innovation, and improve commercial performance through strategic initiatives and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Development: Leading and mentoring a global team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and professional development
Strategic Initiatives: Executing strategic initiatives to drive innovation and improve commercial performance
Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, commercial ops, GIS, HR and finance teams to provide governance and alignment across processes/systems, drive adoption of tools and share standard methodologies
Lead a team of capability owners to establish and define a consistent operating model, ensuring alignment with a shared roadmap that supports commercial's strategic goals
Reporting & Analytics: Monitoring key performance indicators and providing insights to support decision-making. Work closely with leaders to drive new initiatives and collaborate across departments to improve performance using analytics
Lead change management and communication of plans, policies, and procedures to ensure optimal performance
Executive engagement: Present strategic plans and programs and lead progress updates with senior management at regular check points to ensure awareness and overall alignment with corporate strategies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Typically requires 18 years' with related experience and 10 years in people leadership roles, preferably in commercial organizations
Must have excellent communication skills to interact successfully across organizational levels and functions
Strong orientation toward data management, data governance, and process improvement
Can disseminate information effectively and supply regular updates to key partners
Must be diligent with strong analytical skills
Able to work independently, multi-task, and maintain focus on the goals at hand
Consistent track record in dealing with highly ambiguous problems, taking full control and responsibility for and driving simple solutions to sophisticated problems
Strong familiarity with project management standards and methodologies
Strong product management skills required, including a detailed understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Advanced knowledge in crafting and maintaining management level and detailed project plans applying project software
Proven track record to lead a matrixed team of professionals to complete projects on time
Excellent interpersonal, customer orientation, and problem-solving, can-do attitude
Preferred
MBA or equivalent experience preferred
Global experience to work across various regions, strongly preferred
