Quality Control Technician
GTI Fabrication is a company focused on quality manufacturing processes, and they are seeking a Quality Control Technician. The role involves inspecting and testing materials and finished products to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain inspection reports
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications
Maintain calibration of quality control equipment
Perform inspections across all stages of production
Prepare and maintain test data for review
Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
Other duties as assigned by the QA Manager
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Solid understanding of measuring, inspection and test equipment
Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience in the metals fabrication industry
Visual weld and welding inspection experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. (minimum required visual acuity - 20/20 corrected or uncorrected)
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and fabrication drawings
Preferred
Associate or bachelor's Degree in a related field
AWS Certified Welding Inspector - CWI
