Project Manager – Oak Ridge, TN

Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of project coordination, including planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress to ensure timely and successful completion
Develop work plans, control procedures, and facilitate the execution of project tasks, ensuring compliance with established safety and operational protocols
Serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, team members, and clients. Facilitate clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
Monitor project actions, track status updates, and provide regular reports to management and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including DOE/NNSA personnel, to ensure alignment and cooperation
Identify project challenges and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks and resolve issues in a timely manner
Ensure all project activities adhere to safety and regulatory standards, particularly those related to DOE/NNSA requirements
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness
Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns

Qualification
Required
Minimum of a B.S. degree in Management, Engineering, or a related technical field
3-5 years of experience working with DOE/NNSA programs and sites
Strong project management and organizational skills
Proficiency in office software programs and systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
Ability to manage multiple programs and personnel simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of nuclear materials operations at DOE/NNSA national laboratories and sites
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions
Must have or be capable of obtaining a DOE Q-clearance
A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed
Preferred
A background in Program Management and business development is preferred
Familiarity with DOE/NNSA operational standards and procedures
Experience in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and attitude at all times
