Responsibilities
Operate overhead crane to load, unload and position material using lifting magnets, chains and/or straps
Study blueprints, layouts, sketches, and/or travelers to assess product specifications and drawing instructions, tools and materials needed, and sequences of operations
Compute dimensions, tolerances, and angles of steel products or machines, according to specifications and knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics
Adhere to all safety requirements and protocols
Qualification
Required
Knowledge and ability to safely use equipment and tools
Perform basic measurements
Regularly perform physical labor
Follow and communicate written and oral instructions
Preferred
High school degree or equivalent
Prior manufacturing or industrial experience
Machine operation experience in a production environment
