Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the accounting function, including general ledger, technical accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation
Manage shared services operations, ensuring efficient and accurate AP, AR, and back-office processes
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles while maintaining strong internal controls and GAAP compliance
Drive continuous process improvement through automation, technology, and best practices
Partner with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership to support strategic and business decisions
Manage external audits and relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other key stakeholders
Support M&A activities and integration efforts while developing and mentoring high-performing teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required
12+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including managing large teams or shared services
Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting, with a proven ability to drive process improvement
Demonstrated success leading and developing cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
Travel required 15-20%
Strong systems and technology orientation, including ERP experience and finance transformation initiatives
Preferred
Industry experience in distribution, manufacturing, or industrial services is preferred
