Responsibilities
Source, quote, and purchase MRO supplies, tools, spare parts, consumables, safety items, and maintenance services
Ensure timely replenishment of critical inventory to minimize downtime
Review purchase requisitions, verify specifications, and place purchase orders
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers for best value
Maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers and identify alternate sources when needed
Evaluate vendor performance based on pricing, quality, and responsiveness
Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies, or invoicing
Collaborate with maintenance, warehouse, and production teams to understand MRO stock needs
Help maintain proper inventory levels and ensure updated item records
Monitor usage trends and propose stocking strategies for frequently used items
Maintain accurate purchase order records, supplier information, and files
Track spend and support monthly reporting of MRO expenses and savings
Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and internal controls
Qualification
Required
1–3 years combined experience in purchasing or administrative support
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Basic understanding of industrial equipment, tools, or maintenance supplies
Hands-on exposure to vendor communication, PO processing, and ERP systems
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Preferred
Associates degree preferred
