Belmont University is seeking a qualified Director of Development for the Colleges of Art and Architecture & Design. The role involves partnering with university deans to create and execute significant fundraising plans, managing donor relationships, and collaborating with various university departments to support the comprehensive Hope Transforms Campaign.

Responsibilities
The primary role is to partner with the Deans of Art and Architecture and Design to create and execute significant fundraising plans in service of the overall comprehensive Hope Transforms Campaign for Belmont University
Develop and manage a portfolio of philanthropic relationships. Cultivate donor relationships to solicit major and principal gifts of $50,000 to $5,000,000 or more. Coordinate and implement activities designed to increase prospect engagement, alumni and donor engagement and secure philanthropic gifts in support of the university
Collaborate with partners in Advancement and across the University. This includes partnership with Advancement partners such as Corporate and Foundation Relations, Planned Giving and Annual Giving to plan and assess fundraising work, as well as coordination with Athletics, University Ministries and other campus units to stay knowledgeable about opportunities, events and initiatives that may intersect with the college
Represent Advancement at campus events, on community boards and in external settings to promote Belmont and its initiatives

Qualification
Required

Project/Program/Service Management: Ability to coordinate and administer programs/project activities and protocols. Ability to manage resources, monitor activities, and assess risks and quality issues associated with the program/project
Written and Oral Communications: Ability to present information to individuals or groups; ability to deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience. Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals either verbally or in writing to ensure that they understand the information and the message. Ability to listen and respond appropriately to others. Ability to impact and influence others to further the institution's strategic objectives
Technical, Computer, and Software Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic databases and software
Fundraising: Plan and execute fundraising efforts, including donor engagement, annual giving, and special campaigns, to generate resources that support institutional priorities and long-term growth
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Bachelor's degree is required
4-6 years experience in major gift fundraising is required
Preferred
Master's degree is preferred
Major gift fundraising in Higher Ed is preferred
