Quoting Engineer
LHH is partnering with a manufacturing organization to identify a Product Manager to support product costing, quoting, and product development activities within a high-mix, low-to-high volume machining environment. This role plays a critical part in evaluating new product designs, establishing manufacturing cost estimates, and supporting design-for-manufacturability efforts.

Responsibilities
Develop cost estimates and quotations for new parts produced using multi-spindle screw machines, rotary transfer equipment, and CNC machining platforms
Determine appropriate manufacturing platforms, tooling concepts, and cycle times to support accurate pricing
Lead product definition, requirements, specifications, and business case development for new engineered products
Partner with engineering teams to translate customer requirements into manufacturable solutions
Coordinate prototype builds, evaluation, testing, validation, and qualification activities
Support design-for-manufacturing and assembly initiatives to reduce cost and improve reliability
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support process alignment, capacity planning, and production ramp-up
Support supplier evaluation, sourcing decisions, and cost-reduction initiatives
Monitor product quality, reliability, and performance and support corrective action efforts
Develop pricing strategies, value propositions, and product positioning
Provide technical support, training materials, and sales tools for internal teams and external partners
Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, and presentations
Track and report key product metrics including revenue, margins, forecasts, quality, and customer satisfaction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in product management, program management, cost estimating, or hands-on machining, setup, or manufacturing engineering
Strong understanding of machining processes, setup times, raw material costs, run times, and light assembly
Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing plans and cost breakdowns
Proficiency with CAD/CAM systems, manufacturing processes, and ERP systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation
Experience working in cross-functional manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
Preferred
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DFMA, or stage-gate product development processes
Experience supporting quoting and pricing strategies in a machining or engineered products environment
