New Grad, Entry LevelJBS USA is a leading food company, and they are seeking a Purchasing Associate to support plant operations. The role involves managing inventory, processing requisitions, and assisting the Purchasing Lead & Supervisor.

Responsibilities
Conduct daily and cyclical inventory counts
Verify on-hand inventory and incoming shipments
Maintain accurate records and proper labeling of materials
Receive, issue, and deliver parts and materials
Operate a forklift for unloading and storage
Prepare materials for return or repair
Post receivers and issue slips in SAP
File paperwork and slips in numerical sequence
Locate parts and materials in the database for maintenance and other departments
Provide support across purchasing areas including packaging and office operations
Maintain a clean and organized work area by applying 5S principles: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain
Actively contribute to the Standardize and Sustain phases to embed these practices into daily routines, promoting safety and operational excellence
Assist with special projects and audits
Support other departments during peak times or absences
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Assist in training new team members and provide cross-functional support
All other duties assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with a dependable work ethic
Excellent computer skills
Microsoft Excel required
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
Comfortable with physical tasks and forklift operation
Preferred
SAP experience preferred
