Responsibilities

Document, map, and visualize the Southwire Spark innovation process to support consistency and alignment across teams
Conduct research and gather requirements from internal stakeholders to ensure process accuracy and usability
Develop process flow diagrams, templates, and visual communication materials
Assist in creating or refining communication and documentation strategies for innovation workflows
Partner with cross‑functional teams to validate and refine process steps, requirements, and outputs
Support the development of automation opportunities or API integrations for the Spark webpage and SharePoint
Update or create standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and user‑friendly documentation
Analyze workflows to identify opportunities for simplification and efficiency improvements
Prepare presentations, reports, or visual deliverables summarizing project progress and outcomes
Engage with stakeholders across engineering, technology, product innovation, and corporate functions
Participate in weekly check‑ins and contribute to planning discussions
Perform other innovation‑related duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Minimum 2.5 GPA
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, UX/UI Design, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Curiosity about innovation, user experience, design thinking, and process improvement
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or other relevant tools
