2026 Summer Intern, Engineering

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of aerospace fasteners and related components using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA)
Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs
Create and update technical drawings and specifications
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
Support troubleshooting efforts for production challenges
Assist in conducting inspections and tests to ensure products meet industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)
Help maintain documentation for quality control procedures and reports
Analyze test data and provide feedback for product improvement
Research industry trends and emerging technologies to support innovation
Contribute to materials selection and testing for new product development
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities in design and manufacturing
Participate in cross-functional team meetings and project reviews
Maintain project schedules and track deliverables
Prepare presentations and reports for internal stakeholders
Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor
Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate Click Bond policies and procedures
Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas
Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented

Required

Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to write and read English
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field

Preferred

Familiarity with manufacturing processes, such as CNC machining or additive manufacturing, is a plus
Interest or coursework in materials science, structural analysis, or aerospace applications
