InternKulicke & Soffa is seeking a Co-op in R&D Process Engineering who is interested in modifying high performance semiconductor assembly equipment. The role involves working alongside engineers to learn machine processes, testing new hardware, and developing solutions to real-life problems through experimentation.

Responsibilities
Work hands-on with K&S R&D process engineering team
Learn state-of-the-art advanced electronics packaging and assembly techniques and relevant characterization methods
Have the opportunity to use advanced metrology and characterization equipment such as SEM, X-ray, etc
Develop solutions to problems by applying theory learned in classroom to real-life problems and verify through experimentation
Use advanced equipment to gather data, perform analysis, and prepare technical reports
And other duties as requested
Qualification
Required
Interest and ability to work on and help modifying state of the art, high performance, semi-conductor assembly equipment
Ability to work alongside engineers to learn the machine and machines processes
Ability to test new hardware and new process concepts
Hands-on experience with K&S R&D process engineering team
Willingness to learn state-of-the-art advanced electronics packaging and assembly techniques and relevant characterization methods
Ability to use advanced metrology and characterization equipment such as SEM, X-ray, etc
Ability to develop solutions to problems by applying theory learned in classroom to real-life problems and verify through experimentation
Ability to use advanced equipment to gather data, perform analysis, and prepare technical reports
