They are seeking a Production Expeditor & Planner who understands the complexities of CNC machining workflows and can keep production moving efficiently through every stage from raw material to final assembly.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production schedules that balance customer deadlines with shop capacity
Track work orders through multiple CNC machining and fabrication stages
Identify bottlenecks before they become problems
Coordinate with machinists, planners, and supervisors to resolve delays
Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials and tools are available when needed
Manage outsourced processes like heat treating and anodizing with timely part returns
Maintain accurate job status records and estimated completion times
Prepare daily status reports for management
Collaborate closely with quality control to ensure parts meet specifications before advancing to the next operation
Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and reduce lead times

Required

High school diploma or equivalent technical training (Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field is a plus)
5+ years experience in a machine shop or aerospace manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, materials, and shop operations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production schedules
Experience in production planning, inventory management, or supply chain coordination
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Effective communication and collaboration skills across all levels
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred

Proficiency with manufacturing ERP systems (EPICOR experience is a strong plus)
Experience with AS9100 and NADCAP quality standards
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Forklift certification and ability to operate material handling equipment
Prior management or supervisory experience
