Responsibilities

Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue and expenditures, conduct variance analysis, and identify trends
Prepare regular financial reports for managers, highlighting key performance indicators, variances from budget, and areas requiring attention
Develop presentations and reports that effectively communicate financial information to the board of directors, supporting strategic decision-making
Collaborate with program managers to develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funding requirements
Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and internal controls
Support internal and external audits
Serve as a key point of contact for other departments and subsidiaries on financial reporting matters
Provides support to finance staff and ecosystem staff
Support leadership with special projects and initiatives as assigned
Other duties as assigned by the CFO

Required

Associate's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or related field
At least three years in a private sector bookkeeping, financial management, accounting or related role
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal regulations related to financial assistance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field
Proficient in computerized accounting programs (Sage Intacct and Martus are a plus)
Experience working with an Indigenous organization, project, or community
