5+ years expEnigma Search is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to play a central role on their accounting team. The role involves supporting core accounting operations such as monthly close and financial reporting, while also driving cross-functional projects and process improvements.

Responsibilities
Work closely with accounting leads to support the monthly and quarterly close, financial reporting, and broader department priorities
Own the lease accounting process under ASC 842
Reviewing new and modified lease agreements
Maintaining lease accounting systems and schedules
Reconciling right-of-use (ROU) assets and lease liabilities
Oversee clinical trial accounting, partnering with Clinical Operations to:
Develop and update complex clinical accrual estimates
Monitor R&D spend
Ensure accuracy of related prepaid balances and accrued liabilities
Manage and review corporate cost allocations to ensure expenses are properly distributed across departments for internal and external reporting
Lead and contribute to special projects such as:
New entity formations
System implementations and upgrades
Accounting treatment for non-routine or complex transactions
Help drive process improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting and finance operations
Support key departmental and cross-functional initiatives as needed
Comply with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and all applicable domestic and international quality standards and procedures
Follow all relevant security, privacy, and compliance requirements, and help ensure adherence across the team
Take on additional responsibilities and projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Preferred
CPA designation
Hands-on experience with ASC 842 lease accounting
Experience supporting clinical trial / R&D accounting
Solid understanding of internal controls and financial processes
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
