Fiber Infrastructure Sales/Business Development Account Manager

GTEC Talent is seeking a driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in sales and account management to support and expand strategic fiber relationships. The role focuses on managing existing accounts while identifying and closing new opportunities tied to fiber network expansion and upgrades.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow existing customer accounts through strategic account management and upselling initiatives
Drive new business development by identifying, pursuing, and closing fiber-related sales opportunities
Serve as the primary sales and relationship owner for assigned accounts
Develop and execute account strategies to expand geographic reach and increase revenue
Lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and contract execution
Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders across engineering, construction, procurement, and executive teams
Partner internally with operations, delivery, and leadership to ensure alignment between sales commitments and execution
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking in CRM systems
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the fiber and broadband landscape
Represent the company at client meetings, site visits, and industry events as required

Required

3+ years of experience in sales, account management, and/or business development within fiber, telecom, broadband, or infrastructure services
Proven success selling B2B solutions into fiber providers, MSOs, ILECs, or regional operators
Strong understanding of fiber network deployment, construction, and service delivery models
Ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple decision-makers
Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
Self-directed, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a growth-focused sales environment

Preferred

Established relationships within fiber or broadband provider organizations
Experience balancing hunter and farmer responsibilities
Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales performance reporting
Willingness to travel periodically for customer engagements and industry events
