Criminal Courts Clerk - 12-Hour Shift
City of Indianapolis is responsible for maintaining court records and providing various court services. The Criminal Courts Clerk is tasked with clerical functions in the case management system, which includes processing payments and handling new criminal case filings while providing professional service to the public.

Responsibilities
Creates new case filings within case management system
Processes search warrants requests timely and accurately
Accepts bond payments in person and electronically
Receives and responds to in-bound phone calls
Works cooperatively with members of law enforcement, judicial officers and staff, and bond agents
Responds to inquiries and requests for information from other agencies and members of the public
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
two (2) years of previous clerical experience
Must be able to communicate effectively orally, verbally, and in written formats
Attention to detail is a priority
Requires ability to work independently with minimum supervision
promotes teamwork
Preferred
Associates degree or some post-secondary education
Clerical experience in a court or similar legal setting
Bilingual Spanish speaking candidates strongly preferred - additional compensation available
