Human Resource Generalist

This position reports to the CFO and is responsible for planning, directing, and managing human resources activities, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and HR compliance.

Responsibilities

Maintain all HR systems including ADP or Kelly Services Payroll and HR Benefits; enter and set up new hires, transfers, and compensation adjustments
Serve as the initial point of contact for all Human Resources inquiries received via email, phone, and in person on HR services/benefits (401k, healthcare, payroll, insurance, etc.)
Provide excellent customer service, answering questions on ELTA North America policies, procedures, benefits, and compliance issues
Maintain all electronic and paper files for records retention
Manage the staff planning functions of a growing company, including prioritizing required positions, researching salary/benefits requirements in conjunction with the finance team, and coordinating recruiting efforts
Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and support the interview process
Manage the onboarding process and coordination of new hires
Maintain applicant tracking data and ensure compliance with federal contractor requirements for job postings and applicant recordkeeping
Assist with employee relations matters, including documentation, coaching, and supporting investigations as needed
Provide guidance to managers on performance management, policy interpretation, and corrective action processes
Assist executive management in the annual review, preparation, and administration of semiannual performance evaluations
Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
Support benefits administration including open enrollment, vendor coordination, and employee education
Administer leave programs including FMLA, ADA, and other statutory or companyprovided leaves, ensuring proper documentation and communication
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to personnel matters
Prepare and maintain HR metrics including turnover, headcount, and compensation data
Conduct periodic audits of HRIS and personnel files to ensure accuracy and compliance
Communicate changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensure proper compliance is followed
Consult with legal counsel on personnel matters as appropriate
Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff training and development initiatives
Support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and internal communications
Assist with planning company events, training sessions, and employee meetings

Required

Display sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to function independently with minimal supervision

Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field
SHRMSCP or SHRMCP certification required

Preferred

Familiarity with DELTEK Costpoint
Prior experience at a federal Government contractor
