Project Controls Technician

They are seeking a Project Controls Technician responsible for overseeing all aspects of Project Controls, assisting project managers in planning, reporting, cost control, and contract management.

Responsibilities

Provides technical guidance in analyzing and interpreting complex sections of project scope documents and assists in project management
Develops and implements project controls standards and procedures
Participates in proposal preparation and client presentations
Prepares conceptual, preliminary and definitive estimates
Maintains project schedule in accordance with company standards and procedures
Ensures that all project scheduling activities such as schedule development, updates, progress reporting, and recommendations for corrective action comply with company and client requirements
Assists in the determination of project manpower requirements and prepares periodic forecasts of personnel utilization
Ensures that all project activities such as budget development, budget monitoring, updates, cash flow requirements, and recommendations for corrective action comply with company and client requirements
Advises project management of cost impact of proposed design or construction changes
Advises clients of cost trends and their effects on anticipated project expenditures
Establishes methodologies and supervises life cycle cost analyses, economic/financial evaluations, productivity evaluations and value engineering analyses

Required

Bachelor's Degree or university degree with relevant construction or project management, business administration or engineering degree is desired
Capable of applying diversified knowledge of project controls principles and practices
Capability of making independent decisions
Ability to perform all work in a safe manner that meets company & client standards
Must be self-motivated and exercise self-initiative
Performs work in a professional demeanor
Demonstrated ability to lead others in a positive manner
Ability to adapt to changing environment and work conditions
Ability to work independently, handle and prioritize a variety of tasks concurrently, and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication – must be confident and comfortable in all aspects of project controls processes
Excellent interpersonal skills with team members at all levels, agency representatives, clients and subcontractors
Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications
"NSTC" North Slope Training Certification required
Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
Take and pass a Fit for Duty Examination
