Responsibilities
Process new patient registrations and prescription requests using Walgreens prescription data entry procedures
Enter member and prescription information accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance
Troubleshoot missing prescription information and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes)
Resolve data entry exceptions and third-party insurance rejects
Operate automated machinery to sort medications and transition inventory through workflow stages
Count, fill, label, pack, and ship prescriptions with a focus on quality control
Clean and maintain machinery and keep an orderly work environment
Assist pharmacists on-site and at other locations; escalate issues as needed
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Eligible for Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure in the state of Illinois
Basic PC skills and intermediate keyboarding skills (25 WPM or higher)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred
Previous pharmacy, data entry, or customer service experience
Experience meeting quality and productivity standards
Advanced keyboarding skills (35 WPM or higher)
