Crescent Solutions is seeking a Transmission Project Engineer to lead the engineering design management of high-voltage transmission line projects, including generation tie lines supporting wind, solar, and battery energy storage. This role serves as the primary engineering lead for transmission lines, guiding projects from early development through construction and commissioning.
Responsibilities
Lead transmission line engineering efforts within the Engineering & Construction (E&C) organization from concept through execution
Manage and oversee external engineering consultants, as transmission line design is performed by approved third-party firms
Collaborate with Early-Stage Project Managers and Development teams to define project scope, technical requirements, and execution strategy during the conceptual phase
Support both competitive transmission proposals (e.g., FERC 1000) and greenfield projects for company affiliates
Develop scopes of work, solicit and evaluate bids, and award engineering services through the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) organization
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish routing, permitting, and engineering inputs, including geotechnical investigations, surveys, and LiDAR data
Lead coordination of engineering deliverables across all project phases, including Issued for Bid, Issued for Procurement, Issued for Construction, and As-Built documents
Support cost estimating and value engineering efforts by defining scope assumptions and identifying risks and mitigation strategies
Representing Engineering & Construction in cross-functional and executive-level meetings, providing clear updates on progress, issues, and technical decisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
