Vera Institute of Justice is seeking an intern for their Vera Tech Department, which acts as both a strategic partner and service provider. The intern will gain hands-on experience in IT, working on helpdesk tickets and long-term IT projects while learning valuable technical skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot level 1 helpdesk tickets, shadow Helpdesk analysts, learn how to deal work through hardware and software issues
Help with implementing laptop refresh project / Windows 11 upgrade
Get new laptops on domain, check IP address, make sure printers are properly mapped
Server room /computer equipment inventory project
Installing software on desktops and laptops
Replacing hardware on desktops and laptops / wiping computer images

Qualification

Required

A full or part time undergraduate pursuing a B.S degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Information Management or similar discipline or at a Technical Vocational school
Strong MS Office skills, Windows 10/11 skills
Some computer hardware skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional presentation

Preferred

Some experience with Windows Server, Active Directory & other Networking technologies (not required)
Any Microsoft certification or relevant IT certification (would be beneficial)
Windows 10, 11, Microsoft Office
