Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Staff Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their Pain Management Clinic. The LPN is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients, collaborating with clinic staff and physicians to ensure effective patient care, and participating in performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the professional nursing care of all assigned patients in accordance with established standards of care and within the scope of the current Nurse Practice Act
Responsible for meeting the physical, psychosocial, spiritual and emotional needs of the patients assigned to her care
Collaborates, delegates, and coordinates with Clinic staff and physicians, as well as other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care
Maintains the safety, dignity, and privacy of the patient at all times
Participates in the Performance Improvement activities of the clinic that demonstrate positive patient outcomes
Supports the mission of OCH Regional Medical Clinic
Supervises the work of Aides/Techs, and Environmental Services

Qualification

LPN licensureCPR certificationOral communicationWritten communicationInterpersonal skills

Required

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and current LPN licensure by the Mississippi Board of Nursing
Ability to pass competencies for the Staff LPN including a satisfactory orientation period
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Proficient interpersonal skills
Maintains CPR certification
