Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical and plumbing projects
Analyze blueprints and specifications to understand the scope of work and project requirements
Utilize OnScreen Takeoff, QuoteSoft, and other estimation tools to calculate material and labor costs
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project details and requirements
Review and adjust estimates based on changes in project scope or specifications
Maintain organized documentation of estimates, revisions, and related correspondence
Support the procurement process by providing accurate takeoffs and estimates for materials
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Proven experience as an estimator in mechanical and plumbing projects
Strong knowledge of piping, HVAC systems, plumbing, and sheet metal work
Familiarity with construction processes and mechanical systems design
Experience using estimation software such as OnScreen Takeoff and QuoteSoft
Excellent analytical skills with great attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams
