Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support SAN, NAS, and DAS storage environments
Manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA/FT, and virtual networking
Oversee day‑to‑day performance, capacity, and health of the virtualized server environment
Execute backup and recovery strategies
Perform routine testing
Ensure compliance with security policies
Troubleshoot complex technical issues
Support the team through on‑call rotations for critical incidents
Identify opportunities for optimization and automation using scripting
Collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams across the department
Qualification
Required
Storage Engineering & Architecture Expertise
VMware Virtualization Engineering
Backup & Disaster Recovery (DR) Strategy
Deep experience with enterprise storage technologies and architectures
Strong VMware engineering skills (ESXi, vCenter, HA/FT, clusters)
Proven ability to execute backup and disaster-recovery plans
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
Experience with automation or scripting (PowerShell or Python preferred)
Strong communication skills to support a transitioning leadership team
