PBM Account Manager / Technician

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction
Coordinate cross-functional teams (clinical, pharmacy, patient support) to deliver high-quality services
Manage timelines and outcomes across multiple projects or programs
Identify client needs and proactively offer solutions that align with business goals
Troubleshoot issues, resolve client concerns, and escalate when necessary
Use creative problem-solving and critical thinking to address challenges and improve workflows
Prepare and present reports, program updates, and performance summaries to clients and internal stakeholders
Serve as a compassionate point of contact for patients throughout their care journey
Support patients in accessing their prescribed medications, coordinating with pharmacies, and providers to include data entry and production of prescriptions
Accurately document all patient interactions in real-time within internal systems
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in account management, healthcare operations, or program management
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills —able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across departments
Analytical and creative thinker with a proactive mindset
Comfortable working with data, systems, and client-facing presentations
Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with healthcare terminology, HIPAA, and patient confidentiality
Tech-savvy and comfortable working in digital systems and virtual communication platforms
Preferred
Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent pharmacy experience is a plus
Familiarity with healthcare regulations (HIPAA), insurance processes, and patient access challenges
Experience working in a specialty pharmacy, PBM, or patient support program
Knowledge of insurance benefits, formulary restrictions, and access challenges
Demonstrated leadership or team management experience
