Is responsible for cleaning and processing of endoscopes and accessories
Assists the physician, RN and LPN with Endoscopy procedures and patient care
Ensures instrumentation is available for use when needed
Qualification
Required
High school education or equivalent
3 Previous experience in Endoscopy processing
Has completed, or actively working on, the SGNA Associate Program for GI Technicians
Current BLS or the desire to obtain
Good command of the English language
The ability to maintain endoscopes properly
The ability to assist with patient care under the supervision of the RN in Pre/Post Procedure
The ability to work well with others and take instruction
Preferred
Certificate as Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant
Phlebotomy certification
