Responsibilities

Plan job-site work sequences, conducts pre-job hazard assessments/briefs, coordinates outages, procures materials, completes work, returns systems to service, and documents tasks in CMMS
Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-based auxiliary systems; designs, implements, and configures control schemes, modules, firmware, and software; monitors performance and recommends improvements
Update wiring diagrams, schematics, system logs, and technical drawings; provides training and functional supervision to staff while meeting E&I Tech II standards and other assigned duties

Required

Associate's degree in Automation & Instrumentation (A&I) or Electronics Engineering Technology (EET); in lieu of a degree a total of 4 years of direct industrial automation and controls experience
A minimum of two (2) years' experience in troubleshooting, calibration, fiber optic splicing, instrumentation, and utility system maintenance
Experience with electrical systems, including AC theory, single and three-phase systems, and watt-hour metering, with application in power distribution and motor control. Formal education, training, or equivalent work experience will be accepted
Knowledge with OSHA standards, safety codes, and electrical regulations
Proficiency in PLC programming, configuring control systems, reading schematics, and understanding Ethernet/network protocols and architectures
You must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record
You must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
This role requires daily attendance at worksite
Must be physically capable to hear and understand audible alarms, detect changes in noise levels of equipment and portable radio communication
Capable of frequently standing; walking; balancing; sitting; climbing (ladders, stairs, ramps, catwalks and the like as required); kneeling; pushing; pulling; lifting (min. 50 lbs)
Capable of performing repetitive motions as required
Required to have eyesight corrected at 20/40 to accurately read and interpret such as but not limited to instruments, gauges, and manuals
Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face respirators, fall protection equipment, hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses
The position consists of 85% work indoors and 15% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
