InternLove's Travel Stops is a family-owned and operated business that has been serving customers since 1964. The Military SkillBridge Internship offers transitioning service members an opportunity to support operations within an assigned location or district, while developing leadership skills in various areas such as truck care services, restaurant operations, and retail management.
Responsibilities
Work closely with store management and team members to understand daily operations, including restaurant, truck care, and retail services
Deliver exceptional service by engaging with customers and ensuring their needs are met with a positive attitude and attention to detail
Support merchandising initiatives to drive sales, optimize product placement, and maintain an appealing store environment
Execute leadership skills by assisting in team coordination, motivation, and training exercises
Work alongside management to explore career growth paths within Love’s and gain insights into various aspects of the retail management field
Qualification
Required
Must be an active-duty service member
Must qualify for a 60 - 180-day SkillBridge Program
Must have approval from the first commander in chain of command
Ability to connect with customers, team members, and management effectively
Enthusiasm for leading a team, taking initiative, and demonstrating a strong work ethic
Comfortable in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
Dedication for providing excellent customer service
Collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn from others
Physical Demands: Regular talking and hearing. Active involvement requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Frequent lifting/moving of items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required
