Responsibilities

Functional management of the RF Engineering team, guiding staff selection, development, work assignments and performance
Driving the development and production of complex multi-function modules in all phases of the product life cycle
Designing and developing circuits, modules, and sub-systems from initial concept through prototyping and full rate production
Leading investigations to understand complex RF problems and providing innovative and ingenious solutions
Acting independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the implementation of operational products
Mentoring less experienced engineers on our team and collaborating with other engineering disciplines, including hardware engineers, systems engineers, and circuit design engineers
Contributing to or authoring proposals and participating in business capture efforts
Working with technical and manufacturing support personnel to ensure successful product development and production

Required

Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related technical field
Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance
Leadership experience at the group level with strategic input, staff career management, and budgetary management experience
Significant relevant experience in the defense electronics industry, including architecture development for RF systems
Experience designing active RF modules, circuits or systems
Extensive experience with troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues in a production or manufacturing environment
Extensive experience testing microwave products at the RF circuit card assembly (CCA), module, or subassembly level
Expert level knowledge of microwave simulation tools
Expertise with datalink or T/R module architecture
Expertise with RF subsystems and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, advanced electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits, and frequency conversion circuits
Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques
Expertise with technical documentation such as specifications, schematic drawings, and test data
Experience with customer interface including technical presentations
Hands-on Hardware Experience
Ability to lead failure investigations on production and/or technical issues
Ability work in a team collaborative environment especially with manufacturing and industrial engineers and/or operator on production support
