Responsibilities
Receives, processes, and prepares laboratory specimens for testing
Registers patients and accurately enters laboratory orders into systems
Centrifuges, labels, aliquots, and routes specimens according to protocol
Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies and supports equipment upkeep
Assists with pathology specimens and performs phlebotomy when competency is met
Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Supports a clean, organized, and patient‑focused laboratory environment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of two (2) years of laboratory or patient care experience
Current student pursuing a science-related degree, such as Nursing, Medical Technology, Pre-Med, or related healthcare or life-science programs
Preferred
Knowledge of specimen collection, processing, and handling
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including varied shifts
Phlebotomy skills preferred (training provided as applicable)
