Responsibilities
Designing and conducting independent research in line with the objectives of the research group, while maintaining the resources (ie. reagents, cells, mice) in adequate status and organization
Analyzing and interpreting complex datasets and generating high-quality research findings
Preparing and submitting manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presenting research findings at national and international conferences and workshops
Engage in open discussions with the mentor regarding research matters and actively participating in departmental seminars and meetings, as well as engaging in professional development opportunities
Contributing to grant proposals and seeking external funding to support research activities
Assisting with the supervision and mentoring of co-workers and students
Perform all other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. from an accredited college or university
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases or willingness to learn
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to complete work and to meet deadlines
Willingness and ability to work with research animals
Ability to work independently with only general supervision
