Responsibilities
Performs maintenance, repair or overhaul of gas turbine engines, gas turbine starting systems, and turbojet engines to include sub-assemblies and components
Performs assembly and testing of gas turbine engines, gas turbine starting systems, and turbojet engines
Works with hand tools and cleaning chemicals in order to disassemble equipment for inspection purposes
Works with the component maintenance manual and internal documentation to accept or reject individual components in an engine
Works with hand tools, special tools, measuring equipment, balancing and grinding machines in order to assemble customer equipment
Follows prescribed procedures to complete tasks, making alterations as needed; requests expenditures
Has authority to act, but must notify supervisor promptly
Divulging of confidential and/or sensitive information could lead to damage to the reputation and/or competitive posture of the organization
Errors may lead to the need to repeat most or all of the work
Qualification
Required
Technical school; one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
A&P License is a plus
Basic Level Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel; and ability to use SAP and ADP Time System to record daily time card
Mechanical/technical/interpersonal skills that can be applied immediately to the job duties
Experience working in ITAR environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
The employee is frequently required to stand
The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit and talk or hear
The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally expose to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
