Responsibilities
Perform complex purchasing duties according to prescribed policies, procedures, and/or defined instructions in a cost-effective, ethical, efficient, timely, and professional manner
Operate within a customer-service oriented environment, with a strategic focus on Facilities Purchase Orders; including equipment and hardware, software and services for the Information Technology Services group
Responsible for Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Stakeholder Management
Perform complex procurement for other commodities as assigned when needed
Act as a primary liaison to internal business partners, responsible for conducting formal bids, managing supplier performance, and leading complex purchasing negotiations
Manage purchases of common goods and services as well as custom products to complex, difficult, and highly technical transactions valued at $75,000–$100,000 in response to campus needs
Transact orders valued well over $75,000–$100,000 in coordination with or under the general direction of the C.P.O
Qualification
Required
Current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position
Ability to perform complex purchasing duties according to prescribed policies, procedures, and/or defined instructions
Experience in a customer-service oriented environment
Strategic focus on Facilities Purchase Orders, including equipment and hardware, software and services for the Information Technology Services group
Experience in Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Stakeholder Management
Ability to conduct formal bids and manage supplier performance
Experience leading complex purchasing negotiations
Ability to manage purchases of common goods and services as well as custom products to complex, difficult, and highly technical transactions valued at $75,000–$100,000
Ability to transact orders valued well over $75,000–$100,000 in coordination with or under the general direction of the C.P.O
Compliance with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements
