The postdoctoral fellow will investigate cerebrovascular dysfunction in Alzheimer's diseases and develop therapeutic strategies to improve cognitive function.

Responsibilities

Design, conduct experiments, analyze, validate, and present research data, contribute to manuscript preparation, and participate in research collaborations
Perform in vitro and in vivo animal studies, behavioral studies, immunohistochemistry and microscopy imaging, molecular biology, biochemical analysis, and bioanalysis
Summarize and evaluate findings; develop derivative applications of techniques developed by own research activities or reported by other research projects. Presents findings at scientific meetings locally and nationally
Perform in vivo and ex vivo electrophysiology/Patch clamp electrophysiology/GCaMP
Contribute to training and/or supervision of technicians, graduate and undergraduate students in the lab
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Ph.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university
A background in ADRD pathologies, and molecular and cell biology is required, with experience in cell culture and animal models

Highly organized
Documented record of research accomplishments

Preferred

Preferred to have experience with in vivo and ex vivo electrophysiology/Patch clamp electrophysiology/GCaMP
