Responsibilities
Manage complex security initiatives, delivering critical solutions and implementing significant improvements
Design, install and oversee the lifecycle of physical security systems, including Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems
Accountable for the overall strategy of multiple large security programs, managing all stages from concept to delivery
Continuously review existing security standards and stay abreast of new industry developments to enhance physical security
Work with various teams to integrate business requirements into physical security system design and implementation
Support the design and deployment of physical security packages and security program enhancements for AWS data centers
Work across multiple disciplines from physical security system design to system maintenance and upgrades
Proactively identify existing or imminent security vulnerabilities and apply mitigation strategies
Assess processes, program plans, and operations requirements to improve project delivery
Streamline and eliminate excess processes and influence teams to decouple from dependencies
Qualification
Required
10+ years of physical security experience
5+ years of security management experience
5+ years of leadership role experience
Preferred
6+ months of process improvement leadership experience
Experience leading engineering design projects and interacting with cross-functional teams
Passion for security, curiosity to dive deep into Amazon's suite of technical products and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge
MBA, Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, or similar graduate degree
