Process Engineer - ION Implantation
II-VI Aerospace & Defense is a leader in lasers and engineered materials, seeking a Process Engineer for their ion implantation processes. The role involves creating new processes, monitoring existing ones, and providing training and support to operators on ion implantation equipment.

Responsibilities
Work with account managers to create new processes on the current tool set
Generate new recipes that are optimized for productivity, consistency, and reliability
Monitor existing SPC charts for each of the tools and identify when processes are drifting out of control
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Work with maintenance and equipment engineering to maintain and improve implant tool performance
Work with customers to develop new processes to satisfy customer needs
Train and support operators on ion implantation equipment and process-related issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, material science, physics, chemical engineering, or related field
2+ years of hands-on experience working with ion implantation equipment in a semiconductor fabrication environment
Proven experience troubleshooting and maintaining
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and analytical thinking
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative environment
Experience with advanced ion implantation techniques, including high-dose and high-energy implantations
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual)
Compliance with all applicable export control regulations
