Responsibilities
Participate in a 10-week internship program
Understand general departmental data extraction and modeling - planning and design
Understanding the menu of work that Information Solutions Team is responsible for, within Oaktree
Understand the data and technology architecture at Oaktree
Meet other interns and build relationships across the organization
Qualification
Required
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Strong technical/programming skills, including Python, SQL and familiarity with databases, and exposure to AI
Fluency in core Python libraries, and exposure to AI/ML packages as applied to finance
Academic background in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or another hard science discipline
Understanding of finance and economics, with knowledge of private financial markets highly desirable
Experience with data analysis
Fluency in Microsoft Excel
Self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative
Responsible with a strong work ethic and sense of dedication
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Works well under pressure and with time constraints
Outstanding organization skills with high attention-to-detail
Team-oriented with strong integrity and professionalism
Must be able to handle highly confidential information and situations with professionalism and tact
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a high GPA from a university or college. Typically hard science and engineering undergraduates, Masters in Financial Engineering/ Operations Research/ Financial Mathematics, etc. or someone in a Finance program with strong programming and data skills
