Responsibilities
Perform cleaning, inspection, and high-level disinfection of endoscopic instruments and equipment
Demonstrate knowledge of reprocessing equipment and proper use within the processing area
Use, monitor, and document chemical disinfectants according to policy and manufacturer guidelines
Follow established protocols for decontaminating, cleaning, flushing, and disinfecting endoscopic equipment
Inspect instruments and equipment for functionality and integrity
Track loaned instruments and equipment to ensure completeness and timely return
Maintain accurate documentation related to reprocessing and chemical monitoring
Assist in maintaining inventory of endoscopy supplies and equipment
Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of endoscopy reprocessing and high-level disinfection standards required
Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Preferred
Prior healthcare, endoscopy, or sterile processing experience
