Director, Learning Content
CFA Institute is creating a new Director, Learning Content role to help reshape how investment professionals learn and demonstrate real-world skills. The role offers the opportunity to design learning that reflects how investment work is actually done, at scale and with lasting impact.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of high-quality, learner-centric content across CFA Institute’s education portfolio, including but not limited to the CFA Program, certificates, and other credentials
Translate complex, real-world investment practice into engaging learning and assessment experiences that build practical, job-ready skills
Collaborate closely with learning design, assessment, product, and subject matter experts to shape innovative and effective learning journeys
Author, review, and refine educational content, assessments, and study tools to ensure accuracy, relevance, and clarity
Guide and coach external contributors such as authors, reviewers, and item writers, providing clear standards and constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum alignment with practice analysis, learning outcome frameworks, and advisory guidance
Work effectively across global, remote, and cross-functional teams, influencing without formal authority and balancing multiple priorities
Qualification
Required
Credible experience in investment management, financial services, or a closely related field, with the ability to develop and apply deep subject matter expertise
Experience contributing to or developing professional, university-level, or vocational learning materials, training programmes, or educational content in finance or related disciplines
A clear and authentic motivation to work in learning and education, with interest in how adults learn and how complex practice can be translated into effective learning experiences
A track record of producing accurate, high-quality, and market-relevant content, with comfort working through review cycles, feedback, and iterative improvement
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with internal teams, external contributors, and senior industry professionals
Proven ability to operate independently in a global, cross-functional environment, balancing multiple priorities and delivering to agreed timelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence explaining complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
Preferred
CFA Charterholder strongly preferred. Candidates without the charter will also be considered where they bring equivalent industry credibility and learning content experience
Other relevant professional qualifications (for example ACA/CA/CPA, FRM, CIPM, CAIA, or similar) are also valued
