Avionics Test Specialist
Astranis Space Technologies builds advanced satellites for high orbits, aiming to expand humanity’s reach into the solar system. The Avionics Test Specialist will be responsible for running and operating tests on flight hardware and software, including maintaining and calibrating test equipment while collaborating with engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize test processes.

Responsibilities
Execute automated tests and reporting scripts for functional and performance testing of spacecraft electronics
Plan and execute functional and performance test plans (both manual and automated test cases)
Develop standard operating procedures for test operations and related processes to train test operators across all environments
Provide first-level troubleshooting, assist root cause efforts, and implement corrective actions for test and support equipment failures
Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate test and support equipment
Provide Design for Manufacturing and Test feedback to optimize processes and test setups
Qualification
Required
2+ years of working experience testing complex electrical systems
Experience working in a linux environment, including usage of bash
Programming experience (Python, C++, etc.)
Hands-on experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, or power supplies) and data acquisition systems
Experience developing and executing test plans and procedures from requirements
Strong sense of accountability, integrity, and team focus with extensive multitasking and organizational experience
Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime and/or weekends as needed, including support of 24/7 operations for critical integration and test campaigns
U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, Or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline
Devops software experience with networking, using and deploying container environments and utilizing tools like docker and kubernetes
Experience with RF testing and the usage of network analyzers and signal generators
Experience with designing and building electrical harnesses and connectors
