Menards is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to maintain and repair industrial equipment using the latest technology in material handling systems. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

Ensure regular preventative Maintenance is performed on all equipment

Perform mechanical and electrical trouble shooting and repair of equipment

Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair

Installation of new equipment

Welding and metal fabrication of parts in need of repair

Repairs and maintenance to buildings and grounds for the Distribution Center

Required

Mechanical experience with a willingness to continue to learn

Ability to lift up to 50lbs-70lbs

Ability to effectively use hand tools

Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift

Requires intermittent periods of bending, reaching, pulling, and stooping

Ability to work additional hours

Preferred

Experience or schooling in Preventative Maintenance

Experience or schooling in Mechanical troubleshooting and repair

Experience or schooling in Hydraulic and Pneumatic repair

Experience or schooling in 3 phase AC and DC electrical testing

Experience or schooling in Electric Forklift repair

Experience or schooling in Conveyor maintenance and repair

Experience or schooling in Variable Frequency Drives and motor Soft Starters

Experience or schooling in PLC programming and schematic reading

Experience or schooling in Welding and metal fabrication
