Mid, Senior LevelDatum Technologies Group is seeking an experienced IBM Problem Determination (PD) Tools Specialist to support product development tools. This role involves ensuring seamless installation, deployment, migration, and training within IBM mainframe environments while collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive training sessions on IBM PD tools and related technologies
Prepare and organize large-scale presentation materials for customer and internal training
Work directly with customers to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions
Install and deploy IBM PD tools following best practices and customer specifications
Perform problem determination and resolution for IBM products in customer environments
Support z/OS application development and system programming activities
Administer DB2, CICS, and IMS environments during installation and deployment tasks
Manage migration processes, including conversion and integration of IBM and ISV tools
Utilize tools such as IBM File Manager, FastRexx, BMC FileAid, CA Broadcom File Master, CA Broadcom PDSMAN, and Macro4 InSync during migrations
Develop and modify REXX scripts to support migration and automation requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction
Qualification
Required
z/OS Expertise – Advanced understanding of z/OS architecture and operations
IBM Product Expertise – In-depth knowledge of IBM PD tools and associated components
ISPF & IDz – Proficiency with IBM ISPF and IBM Developer for z/OS
Programming Languages – Strong skills in COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, and C/C++
Application Development – Experience with CICS, DB2, and IMS application programming
System Administration – Proficiency in DB2, CICS, and IMS administration
Training Delivery – Ability to design and deliver effective technical training sessions
Migration Tools – Experience with IBM File Manager, FastRexx, BMC FileAid, CA Broadcom File Master, CA Broadcom PDSMAN, and Macro4 InSync
Preferred
REXX Programming – Intermediate to advanced scripting for automation and migrations
Organizational Skills – Ability to manage large volumes of presentation materials and documentation
Problem Determination – Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for IBM product issues
Communication & Customer Interaction – Excellent verbal and written communication for client engagement
