Responsibilities
Work deeply with Universal Scene Description (USD/USDZ) assets and specification
Extend USD generation and playback capabilities within the Unity game engine toward proofs-of-concept
Collaborate with XR engineers and members of our R&D team
Develop automated interoperability testing
Generate technical documentation
Qualification
Required
Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in software development, or demonstrates equivalent experience
XR/Spatial computing experience on platforms like Unity XR, OpenXR, Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, or HoloLens
Demonstrable experience creating virtual reality (VR) or mixed reality (MR) experiences in Unity
Demonstrable experience with Python and C#
Familiarity with USD and glTF scene-graph formats
Familiarity with media packetization and carriage as described in MPEG-I, MPEG-4 Part 12, and MPEG-4 Part 14
Familiarity with content creation workflows for linear or interactive media
Preferred
Experience with NVIDIA Omniverse or other USD ecosystems
Experience with Blender, Maya, or Houdini
Familiarity with digital twins
Familiarity with HLS or DASH
Experience optimizing for real-time playback in interactive environments
Experience with software test development and automated test frameworks (e.g. pytest, Googletest)
