Responsibilities
Support the design, estimating, and operations teams with on-going ground improvement projects, as needed. This may require travel or time spent in the field on active projects
Review and interpret civil, structural and geotechnical documents and project production files
Perform quality control tasks, documentation, submittal preparation, data analysis and site surveys as directed
Support the sales team by composing pre-bid evaluations, estimates and proposals
Other duties as assigned
Be an active participant in Menard’s safety culture. Have an active eye for recognizing any potential hazards and a willingness to stop unsafe work practices
Qualification
Required
Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil/geotechnical engineering, geology, construction management or related field
Familiar with basic geotechnical design and calculation principles
Strong observation skills and ability to work with diligence
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Excel and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Prior experience with geotechnical construction and techniques a plus (i.e. drawings, specifications, building materials, surveying, design, or geotechnical work)
