Responsibilities
Collaborate with product, frontend, and hardware teams to design, build, and maintain core platform features
Take ownership of feature development from concept and design to implementation and production
Design and implement backend systems and APIs that power: Device management and control, scheduling and automation, user and account workflows
Build reliable, scalable, and maintainable services that interact with real-world devices
Improve system performance, reliability, and correctness through monitoring, debugging, and optimization
Help define and evolve system architecture and engineering best practices
Contribute to frontend features when needed to deliver complete end-to-end functionality
Write tests and perform thorough validation to ensure high quality and production reliability
Work in a fast-moving environment where product requirements and technical constraints evolve quickly
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in software engineering or full-stack development
Strong experience with backend or systems development
Solid understanding of: API design, data modeling and databases, system architecture and production reliability
Experience with at least one modern backend language or platform (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, Java, etc.)
Familiarity with frontend development (e.g., React or similar frameworks)
Experience using version control systems such as Git and working in a collaborative development environment
Comfortable owning features end-to-end and working in ambiguous problem spaces
Strong problem-solving skills and good engineering judgment
Preferred
Experience with cloud infrastructure or scalable backend systems
Experience with device, hardware, or IoT-related systems
Experience with distributed systems, background jobs, or event-driven architectures
Startup or early-stage product experience
