Responsibilities
Solve complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers
Describe the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data to create insightful and actionable business information
Utilize data to identify process improvements by doing root cause analysis
Drive a better understanding of the data and what the data is showing
Help in determining and maintaining quality and controls methodology around data analytics
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5 years of experience working with large datasets, Data Analysis, and reporting within large organizations
Minimum 3 years of SQL experience
Minimum 3 years of experience with Power BI or similar visualization tool
Minimum 2 years of experience leading and guiding cross-functional projects with other business teams to solve complex company initiatives
Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors
Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
At minimum, a download speed of 25 mbps and an upload speed of 10 mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Preferred
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Minimum 2 years of SSIS experience or similar ETL tools
Minimum 2 years of Python experience
Minimum 1 year of experience developing automations for business processes using scripting languages
