Responsibilities
Engaging with our design team to produce shop drawings for review by DOTs, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, architects or construction managers
Revising and resubmitting drawings based on responses to comments from the project review team
Printing (plotting) drawings for review, approval, and final stamping
Preparing conceptual elevation views, support schemes, geotechnical cross-sections (using data from geotechnical borings)
Preparing as-built drawings and final project closeout of drawing work
Performing preliminary CAD layouts to assist estimating team with takeoffs, quantities, preliminary drawing set-up, etc
Updating and improving upon company standards and templates, as required
Preparing visual aids illustrating our ground improvement systems for potential clients to enhance proposals and quotes
Communicating with clients, engineers and architects, as required
Qualification
Required
Associate's or technical degree with AutoCAD being a major component
3-5 years of experience using AutoCAD on a daily basis
Prior experience with civil, geotechnical construction and techniques a plus (i.e. drawings, specifications, building materials, surveying, design, or geotechnical work)
Ability to work independently on projects
Excellent time management skills
Ability to prioritize assignments while working on competing projects
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Knowledge of Civil3D or BIM software a plus
