Administrative Research Coordinator

Rush University Medical Center is seeking an Administrative Research Coordinator to assist in coordinating research activities for the U.S. POINTER study. Responsibilities

Randomizes study participants and makes a final assessment of appropriateness for the study
Conducts a participant interview before each clinic assessment which includes a review of health events, medication review, and experience in the intervention
Participates in creative duties such as intervention materials development and reproduction
Assists in communications with researchers and members of the research community
Attends and participates in local meetings related to the planning, operation, and evaluation of the clinical site activities; participates in study committee meetings as needed
Manages the preparation of progress reports and quality control monitoring
Participates in the preparation and delivery of presentations to disseminate study findings to study staff
Analyzes intervention participant data and drafts data reports
Utilizes approved procedures
Helps maintain study procedure documentation
Prepares study related materials
Assists with inventory and dissemination of participant intervention materials
May utilize study-related devices and equipment as part of assessment procedures
Maintains study records and edits for completeness and accuracy
Uses discretion to resolve issues when unplanned events arise
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in science or a health-related field required
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
Detail oriented with high attention to accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop rapport with a diverse pool of research participants
Ability to navigate sensitive topics and maintain confidentiality of participants
Ability to collaborate within multi-disciplinary team settings
May require 6-8 weeks training depending on study protocols
May require personal transportation to field location

Preferred

Bilingual preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of clinical trial research principles
